I have been thinking about writing this down for a while.
Stereotypes and hypocrisy discovered in TFP so far.

1. "Con's don't rescue their kind". While it is true that Megatron refused to sanction a rescue mission for Breakdown, this fact alone doesn't prove that Cons generally don't rescue each other. If anything, it proves that they do. Let me elaborate.
a) When SS approached Megs with news about Breakdown being captured by MECH, his advice to sent a rescue team is a casual one - more like protocol talk. And when Megatron refuses SS is taken aback by it. He didn't anticipate the refusal.
b) While BD is positive that no ransom will be paid for him, he's expecting being rescued.
c) Upon his return to 'Cons ranks, Shockwave questions why there was no rescue mission for him. And it is not only a valid question (neither Megs nor anyone else doubt his right to demand answer), SS is scared that his reasons may not seem compelling enough. Cause that would be an outrage - to leave one behind, right?
d) EVERY (literally, every) time cons ask for backup, backup is provided. Sometimes (like with Shockwave and the predacon bone), backup is provided without request.

So we see, Megs refusal to send help to rescue BD is not normal Con behavior. We don't know if it's caused by Megatrons inability to perceive humans as a threat or by his long exposure to dark energon, or maybe both, but it's not something he normally does.

2. "Cons are evil because they want to destroy humankind/conquer earth"
If we look at it really close, the humankind was the first to engage in a war against Con's.  Humans are 'bots allies, they provide 'bots with technical means of war, intel and occasionally more. It is hard to count on good graces of someone you help fight against.
However, the whole "disguise' thing is invented by humans to fool other humans. It makes sence that Autobots play this game, it doesn't make sence that 'Cons do.
Were they malicious toward humankind specifically, wouldn't they strike it where it hurts?

3."Megatron is a psycho sadistic tyrant". Yeah, like, five times. He's a remarkably level-headed leader, if we really look at him. Let me elaborate:
a) he's always thinking strategic, in terms of tactical advantage and winning the war. He's not in this for massacre, he wants the job done
b) he understands his troop moods (far better than SS does, which is partly why SS lacks charisma for the job)
c) He leads by example. There is literally nothing he demands from his followers that he doesn't do himself. He's unbendable (i.e. in Crossfire) and I can imagine someone like him can inspire his followers by that.
d)He is just to his subordinates. he lets his subordinate explain (like, he really does). And he listenes (!) - except maybe for the times when it's obvious that SS is lying.
Take a look at how he punishes KO and SS for their "side-project" ( a project that just cost him about 50% of his army) - KO gets of by being remided of his chain of command. And SS... yeah, SS  gets all the wrath. And its not because he "meddled with dark energon", it's because he was in charge and bears full responsibility.

This helped me see a whole new perspective for the 'cons, and it's weird because I am all for the Decepticons! :D

This was really well thought out. :)
